Empowering Farmers Through Collective Action
Mumias East Agribusiness Limited (MEAL) is a farmer management service company established to organize, mobilize, and empower smallholder farmers in Mumias East Sub-County, Kakamega County, Kenya.
Our organization is structured as a farmer-owned enterprise under the Cooperative Societies Act of Kenya. We bring together farmers who share a common goal: to transform subsistence farming into profitable agribusiness through collective action, shared resources, and market integration.
By pooling resources, knowledge, and market access, we create economies of scale that enable individual farmers to compete in modern agricultural markets while maintaining sustainable farming practices that benefit our community and environment.
